Fix a problem

License key expired error

If you recently purchased a new license key and you're getting this error, we recommend that you use the Deactivate Feature to remove your old license key information. Follow the instructions in our Deactivation Troubleshooter and then log in with your new license key.

Error message while installing or uninstalling

For an immediate resolution to this issue, we've listed below step-by-step directions to access Google Earth Pro on your computer:
  1. Download Google Earth Pro.
  2. Run through the installation process and launch the program.
  3. A login screen should appear for you to enter your login details.

Installed on too many machines error

First, have you tried using the Deactivate Feature? Before filling out a form, we recommend that you visit our Deactivation Troubleshooter.

Username or license key doesn't match error

First, please make sure you are using the correct version of Google Earth Pro. Most users can resolve this issue by re-downloading Google Earth Pro.

Program crashes or doesn't display properly

First, for Microsoft Windows users, we highly recommend changing your 3D renderer to DirectX. This simple fix resolves almost all crashing or display issues:
  1. Click Start > All Programs.
  2. Hover over your version of Google Earth, select Start Google Earth in DirectX mode.
  3. A message should pop up stating that Google Earth will now run in DirectX mode by default. Click Start Google Earth to continue.
